Arcadia High School Constitution Team wins state finals. The team will head to Washington DC for the National Finals in April. The team is comprised of 30 students, teacher and leader Megan Leahy, and several volunteer coaches, including Kevin Fox, Miriam Lopez, Mark Hong, Carl Nielsen, Bob Garrett, and City Councilman Gary Kovacic.
Two adult males have been arrested for vandalizing Longley Way Elementary School, located at 2601 Longley Way Avenue. They shot at 31 windows and a passing motorist with BB guns.

Results of the new state test called the CAT-6 (California Achievement Test), which replaces the old SAT-9 test, show that around 70% of the students at each grade level in the Arcadia schools are in the national norm of 50th percentile in reading, and half or more of these students tested at or above the 75th percentile. Each grade level has a breakdown, and comparison with Monrovia students.
Arcadia Rotary to raise funds to renovate Fort Rotary-Camp Trask. Tallman H. Trask Scout Reservation in dire need of repairs after years of neglect. It is located in the area above Monrovia Canyon. Fort Rotary was built in 2003.

Local horn players join "The Four Tops" on stage at Arcadia Performing Arts Center on February 21. The local musicians are Fabio Spinella, a graduate of Arcadia High School, Matthew Murdock, who was a teacher for Arcadia High School Band Program, and Mike Danielson, Music Director at First Avenue Middle School for over 20 years.
