Arcadia Unified School District offering free COVID-19 rapid take-home tests for every student through the month of January. They held a drive-through pick-up event on January 4 and 5 at Arcadia Performing Arts Center at 188 Campus Drive. In addition to these rapid tests, which were provided by the California Department of Health, the district also has their regular testing located at Arcadia Education Center, which is for Arcadia Unified School District students and staff, free of charge.
Only 22 school districts in California honored by College Board for 7th Annual AP District Honor Roll and Arcadia High School is one of them. This means that since 2014, the qualifying school had to increase the number of students participating in AP courses while also increasing or maintaining the percentage of students earning AP exam scores of 3 or higher.
The Arcadia Board of Education approved a Local Agency Education plan to bring the district into compliance with the federal No Child Left Behind program, which requires that students meet state proficiency standards by 2013-2014. Arcadia High School badminton team won its first CIF championship last week by beating Diamond Bar 13 to 8 in the Open Division (highest level). Arcadia High School created its coed badminton team just six years ago.
