C. Loree "Jack" Russell, member of the Arcadia City Council for the past two years, was elected presiding officer of the council and will serve the city as Mayor.

Rabbit growers, rabbit breeders, National Rabbit Association of America will meet in the Chamber of Commerce room at City Hall. Program will feature a display of Junior Bucks and Does. City Council will hold its annual reorganization meeting. It is expected that Charles Gilb will be elected mayor for the second time and Jack Saelid will be mayor pro tem, an office he has held before.
Elections for 3 City Council seats will be held on April 11, 1978. The seats are currently held by Floretta Lauber, Charles Gilb and Jack Saelid. The filing period is January 12 - February 2.
Because a 2-2 vote on regulations for video games appeared inevitable, Mayor pro tem Dennis Lojeski at the last Arcadia City Council meeting requested that the matter be held over until the next meeting when Mayor Don Pellegrino will be present.
