An apartment fire in Arcadia Wednesday left six people uninjured but looking for shelter. The blaze was reported at about 2:45 p.m. in unit 235 at 425 E. Live Oak.

The company has been expanding its office campuses in Southern California suburbs, offering flexible co-working and communal spaces for fixed-price monthly memberships. Sanden said he cut his teeth in brokerage along the 210 Freeway corridor--Monrovia and Arcadia.
Arcadia woman was hurt in apartment fire in 900 block of West Huntington Drive on August 7. The 50-something year old woman was taken to Arcadia Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
Two dozen rounds were fired into an Arcadia apartment complex in the 400 block of Second Avenue. No one were injured. The shooting is believed to be Asian gang related.
Arcadia resident in the 700 block of Camino Grove Avenue finds the body of a stranger in his swimming pool. The dead man is 35-year old Greg Tser-Ming Chen of Arcadia. Foul play was not initially suspected in the death. Chen's dog, a golden retriever, which was not on a leash, was found in the backyard too. St. Baldrick's Foundation held its annual fundraising event at Matt Denny's Ale House. More than 70 volunteers got their family, friends and co-workers to give donations for them to shave their heads. Their baldness helps raise awareness of cancer and shows solidarity with the childhood cancer patients. Arcadia firefighter Drew Pryon is shown in photographs with children.

Phillip Ramos, Jr., 48, was found dead in the waters of the Peck Road Water Conservation Park in Arcadia on Saturday, November 29. Arcadia police said nothing overtly suspicious was found at the scene where the body was discovered.
A senior housing apartment complex at 16 Campus Drive in Arcadia will create 250 jobs. The 43-unit complex will have spacious one-and two-bedroom apartments. Ashwood Construction and Davila Properties are the developers.
Arcadia Fire Captain Tom Devlin was injured December 26 after part of a burning structure fell on him on Chestnut Avenue in Monrovia. He suffered second and third degree burns.
Santa Anita Park race track attendance is on the upswing. It drew 40,810 on Friday, its biggest opening day turnout since 2011. On-track attendance was up 33% over last year, partly because of the free infield admission program, which drew more than 10,000 people. Total wagering, including bets placed from all over the country, rose nearly 30% to more than $17 million. On-site betting was more than $3.4 million. The City of Arcadia gets 1/3 of 1% of all on-site wagering.
Monterey Park shooting aftermath. Ex-tenant: Attack suspect hated his dance instructors. Huu Can Tran harbored a deep hatred for fellow instructors at Star Dance Studio where he killed 11 patrons and wounded 9 others on Saturday, January 21, the Lunar New Year eve. Tran's tenant, a man who formerly rented a small home from the gunman said Tran distrusted people and could become very angry. At one time, Tran had lived in an apartment in Arcadia. The former tenant describes other aspects of Tran's personality.
Electrical accident blamed for deadly house fire in unincorporated county area near Arcadia that left 3 people dead and 2 others injured. It happened to a two-story home in the 5300 block of Tyler Avenue.
