Arcadia Unified School District hosting community conversations regarding district's improvement needs. Community input is critical because it helps the school district plan how to use resources to educate and support all students. This is the seventh year of conducting this annual community conversation, via survey, through February 25 at 11:59 PM.

City of Arcadia hosting free COVID-19 vaccine site February 7 and 14 at Arcadia Community Center, in collaboration with Chinatown Service Center. The Johnson & Johnson and the Moderna vaccines are available for ages 18 and up. Pfizer vaccine is available for ages 5 and up.
Arcadia High School's runner Phillip Rocha ran a record CIF Cross Country race with a time of 14:58, the fastest time of the year in California in Division I.
Arcadia Chamber of Commerce opened its 50-year-old time capsule which was buried when the iconic chamber building was built in 1965. It contained some film which deteriorated. A new time capsule was buried.
Arcadia City Council tightens regulations on water use. Outdoor irrigation citywide is restricted, by a newly passed ordinance, to 3 days a week-Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Watering is prohibited between 9 AM and 6 PM, in addition to "during and 48 hours after measurable rainfall." Arcadia City Council approves purchase of replacement water ahead of time. Power outages occurred in Arcadia, affecting business along Huntington Drive, including Core Media, publishers of the Arcadia Weekly and other local papers.
Teens reduce stress at Arcadia Public Library with programs such as crafting their own stress balls and calm bottles on November 19 and cuddle time with Go Team Therapy Dogs on December 12.
Survey proposed on Arcadia Arts Center. The city and school district may collaborate on a public survey to determine public attitude toward construction of an Arts Center in Arcadia. City Manager Bill Kelly told local leaders that an arts center could cost from $5 to $15 million, whether it is an auditorium alone, or a complex, which could include an art gallery and meeting rooms.
