Arcadia Teen Night will take place at Dana Middle School Gym, 1401 S. First Avenue. Fee is $8 and includes pizza dinner. Teens will play indoor games such as dodgeball, volleyball, video games, and basketball.
Jerry Collins Picnic Pavilion dedication ceremony will be held July 19, 2016 at Wilderness Park at 2240 N. Highland Oaks Drive in Arcadia. There is a memorial plaque to commemorate his life. Moises Davila, a 20-year-old resident of Arcadia, and a part-time employee of the Arcadia Recreation and Community Services Department, was arrested for lewd acts with a child under 14. The suspicious physical contact allegedly happened between him and a female juvenile who was attending Afterschool Recreation Program at Longley Way Elementary School in Arcadia.

Arcadia Unified School District revives middle school athletics. In 1995, the middle school sports program was dismantled when the district transitioned junior high to the middle school model (6th-8th grades), then the focus veered heavily toward academics. On December 3, 2015, First Avenue Middle School faced off with Dana Middle School for the first time in two decades.
Arcadia Police Department launches Weibo page, a Chinese-based social media website, similar to Facebook and Twitter. Its participation on Weibo will enhance the department's ability to engage and communicate with a specific portion of the Arcadia community, with postings in simplified Chinese. Vintage Vibe Festival moves to Santa Anita Park. It was launched in Palm Springs last year, focusing on the music and styles of the 1950s and 1960s with a modern twist.
Arcadia High School Theatre Department won first place trophy in the High School Intermediate Category for its ensemble performance of "Oklahoma" at the Musical Theatre Competition of America. The ensemble award was accepted by Gabriel Rousset and Ariana Raygoza.
