John W. Grainger, in a Chevrolet coupe, led Arcadia police on a high speed car chase that ended in a crash. An opened wine bottle was found in his car.
Mrs. Ola Sullivan, who's husband J. H. Sullivan has been in charge of the restoration of the Queen Anne cottage, presented a talk to the Arcadia Woman's Club on "The History of Nails." She gave each member in attendance a hand-wrought iron nail and piece of wood from the original Queen Anne Cottage, bound together by ribbon.

Noted organist Elsie Mae Emerson to present concert at Arcadia Music Mart, announced owner Mel Pratt. Emerson is an organist on the famous "Queen for a Day" show both on television and radio. She will play and demonstrate the Minshall electronic organ.
