Gregory Ramos, 18, of Downey was discovered unconscious in a jail cell at the Arcadia City Jail. A routine jail check revealed that Ramos had used his jail linen to fashion a noose in an attempt to strangle himself.
A request from a group of parents that the play "Secrets", dealing with AIDS and birth control, be cancelled at Foothills Junior High has been unanimously denied by the Arcadia Board of Education.
