Santa Anita School Mrs. Fleck's first grade classroom photo by Edwards Photography (from the envelope which has been discarded). Top Row: second from left is Kathy Pounds. The school was located at 1900 South Santa Anita Avenue from about 1950 until June, 1981. In 1982, Arcadia Christian School moved in to this location. Extra 2"x3" photo of Kathy Pounds attached.

This photograph was published in the Arcadia Tribune, August 20, 1956 with the caption: Here comes mama--By all indications from this picture, it looks as if the children weren't the only ones who were having a good time at the recent Arcadia Recreation Department city-wide track meet. The Tribune camera caught Mrs. Mary Turner as she broke the tape in the "feature" race of the afternoon. Running a close second in the event is Mrs. John Panatier followed across the finish line by Mrs. Lucas.

Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin standing on porch of Hugo Reid Adobe holding hand of granddaughter Dextra Baldwin, who appears to be about 5 years old. Grandson Baldwin M. Baldwin is in wicker baby carriage and is about 1 1/2 or 2 years old.
Grandstand and portion of track at Ascot Park, a racetrack built near the center of Los Angeles that offered racing from 1903-1907. It was closed due to a city ordinance forbidding gambling. Baldwin's track, Santa Anita Park, which opened in December 1907 was designed and built by the same architect that built Ascot Park: A.M. Allen. The two tracks are similar in style and are occasionally mistaken for each other. In this photo the stands are full and there are eight horses with jockeys on the track.
