Miss Virginia Bower, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Bower of 126 Wheeler Street, will be heard in her first major operatic role when she sings the lyric soprano role of Amy Everton in the opera "Shanewis."
Rabbit growers, rabbit breeders, National Rabbit Association of America will meet in the Chamber of Commerce room at City Hall. Program will feature a display of Junior Bucks and Does. Mrs. Ola Sullivan, who's husband J. H. Sullivan has been in charge of the restoration of the Queen Anne cottage, presented a talk to the Arcadia Woman's Club on "The History of Nails." She gave each member in attendance a hand-wrought iron nail and piece of wood from the original Queen Anne Cottage, bound together by ribbon.
