Richard A. Hachten II has been appointed president and administrator of the Methodist Hospital. Hachten has been associated with the hospital since 1972.
Methodist Hospital of Southern California joins Keck Medicine of USC as USC Arcadia Hospital. The affiliation was finalized July 1. Dan Ausman is the president and CEO of USC Arcadia Hospital.
John F. Llewellyn and Arne Lalm are the newest appointees to the board of directors of the Methodist Hospital of Southern California. Llewellyn, a Sierra Madre resident, is President of Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries. Kalm, an Arcadia resident, is President of First Arcadia Corp., an investment banking firm.
Arcadia Methodist Hospital of Southern California and Keck Medicine of University of Southern California (USC) take next steps toward affiliation. A written notice has been submitted to the Office of the Attorney General of California for regulatory review and approval. Following regulatory approval, Methodist Hospital will officially join the Keck Medicine clinical enterprise as USC Arcadia Hospital.
Walter R. Hoefflin Jr., president and chief executive officer of the Methodist Hospital, has announced his retirement. Hoefflin has been with the organization for 32 years and was closely involved in the hospital's move to Arcadia.
