One hundred fifty balloons rose into the sky above Arcadia Presbyterian Church on Tuesday as loved ones paid their final respects at the funeral for high school sophomore Russell Simon.
Neighbors of 16 year old Russell Simon, killed in August while riding his bicycle home from football practice, are banding together to have a memorial plaque installed at the corner where the high school sophomore was struck by a truck.
The new J Building and Music Building are ready at Arcadia High School, made possible by passage of the $28 million bond issue in April, 1993. The new facilities include the Library Technology Center, the new nurse's office, Associated Student Body Office and the Trading Post student store.
