A man believed to be the "Old Timer Bandit" was shot and killed by an Arcadia police detective after he allegedly robbed banks in Arcadia and Pasadena and led police on a high-speed chase.
Omar Francisco Garcia, 24, of Arcadia, was fatally shot by two West Covina police officers on November 17, after he allegedly attacked officers with their own baton. He has a history of fighting with police.
John Anderson, 52, pleaded not guilty in Pasadena Superior Court to a probation violation related to a 2005 conviction for prowling, peeking, and trespassing in Arcadia. He allegedly shot a veteran Monrovia police sergeant too.

Isaac Campbell, an Alhambra man charged with the murder of Liya "Jessie" Lu, appeared in court for a hearing on Tuesday and was ordered to return to court December 3, 2009. He is being held on $1 million bail. He allegedly stuffed her body in a trash can in Arcadia.
