The street marking its northern boundary would be Huntington Drive. The large rectangle just north of this street was Rancho Resevoir, converted into a swimming pool. The principal street marking east boundary of Balloon School property running north to south across this photo about at middle, is Santa Anita Avenue.

Next street east is First Avenue, then Second Avenue, the Fourth Avenue. Reservoir is at corner of Valnett Avenue and Second Avenue and was owned by Walnut Grove Mutual Water Company (Valnett Avenue was first through street south of Duarte Road at this time and became Camino Real).

Times newspaper article titled "Historic Santa Anita Tract Deed Delivered to County," describing the transfer of deed for 111-acre tract from Rancho Santa Anita, Inc. to the Los Angeles County Supervisors. The article states that the property will be converted into an arboretum.
H. D. Cowan Co., Inc., manufacturer of fixtures for stores, banks and office buildings, will open a new manufacturing facility at 130 N. First Street. This property was formerly a furniture manufacturing facility.

Stolen property and recovered items photographed on top of a table include clothes, electronics, such as television, reel-to-reel tape player, radios, clock, speaker, tire, ventriloquist's dummy, cuff links, tie clips, miscellaneous jewelry, lampshade, coffee or tea pot, "scan-o-scope."
Mrs. Raymond A. Dorn, wife of Pasadena real estate man, who developed much of the property north of Foothill Boulevard in Arcadia, was killed and her husband injured in an automobile accident at Rosemead Boulevard and Callita Street.
