Alumni from Abraham Lincoln High School in Lincoln Heights (in Los Angeles) gathered at Matt Denny's Ale House in Arcadia to have a class reunion. The 100 or so graduates were primarily from the classes of 1945, 1946, and 1947, but members of other classes also attended.
New law classes will be given at Arcadia High School. A list of other new classes and other points of discussion from the Board of Education meeting are included.

Arcadia High School is instituting two P. E. classes for handicapped youngsters this fall. A survey showed the need, so a program has been worked out which will be titled Adaptive P. E. and is designed to strengthen and condition those students.
Rose Foreman, 100, an Arcadia resident since 1947 and a Dial-A-Ride user since 1975, has been given a lifetime Dial-A-Ride pass, enabling her to ride for free.
Two Citrus classes open. A class in Real Estate Principles is taught by Edward J. Christy. A class in General Insurance Principles is taught by John E. O'Grady.
Budget cuts have caused the Arcadia Unified School District to rely on the Arcadia Educational Foundation to provide summer classes from sports to cooking and English and Math.
After 2 months of classes, enrollment for Arcadia schools is down 400 from last year at this time. The only enrollment increase has been in grades 4-6.
