The Administration at Arcadia High School had to institute a new policy against freak dancing or "freaking" after students got too wild at the Homecoming Dance. Freaking is a kind of dancing in which dancers grind against each other's pelvises. Students who attended the Winter Casual dance had to sign a contract "to conduct themselves appropriately both on and off the dance floor."

Community rallies around Arcadia Donuts' owners Francois Ung and Shally Ung. In recent weeks, they've been doing fundraisers for victims and survivors of the mass shooting at a Monterey Park dance studio one year ago, which claimed the life of their friend Andy Kao. Surveillance video shows someone broke into Ung's car and stole the fundraiser money. A Gofundme is set up if people want to help the couple recover the money.

In Arcadia, doughnut business owners Francois Ung and his wife Shally Ung remember and honor their friend Andy Kao, a victim of the shooting at the Star Ballroom Dance Studio on January 21, 2023, with a pledge that they will send proceeds from sales at their Arcadia Donuts store on January 20 and 21 to the Monterey Park Hope and Resiliency Center and the Andy Kao Memorial Ballroom Dance Group to assist funding the nonprofit organizations. The preliminary design for the Arcadia Historical Museum has been approved by the city council but more money is still needed to build the museum. Fundraising will be done by the Arcadia Historical Society.

Eric Perry Memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place June 2 at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden in Arcadia. Eric Perry died of brain cancer. His family is covering the costs of the event and will be donating all proceeds to the American Brain Tumor Association. Perry was a longtime resident of Arcadia.
San Gabriel Valley police officers and firefighters, including Arcadia Police Department and Arcadia Fire Department, competed in a charity basketball tournament at Arcadia High School to benefit Special Olympics Southern California. It was organized by Arcadia Police detective Walter Ashby.
Jockeys from Santa Anita Park played a charity basketball game against Holy Angels School, to benefit Holy Angels School of Arcadia and the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.
Fundraising efforts (primarily via direct mail solicitation) by the Arcadia Educational Foundation have yielded $45,000 to be used for a new science lab at Arcadia High School and $20,000 to buy mini-computers for Arcadia grade school students.
