Starting in 1993-1994, Arcadia High School will change its grading policy that awards an extra grade point to students taking honors classes. The new system will give no more weight to honors courses than to regular courses.

Construction of the Arcadia Gateway Center on the south side of Huntington Drive in east Arcadia should begin November 9. The new center will have a Cigna Health Plan Building, 2 office buildings, 2 restaurants, and a retail building with shops.
Within the next few months several new developments will be cropping up along Huntington Drive: construction of a 7-story office building at 1st Avenue, erection of the Southland National Bank at 5th Avenue, and construction of a Target Department Store at 3rd Avenue. Hale Medical Center office building planned at 289 W. Huntington Drive in Arcadia breaks ground. Construction began last week on the $20 million four-story medical office building in the southern parking lot of Santa Anita Park that will connect to Arcadia Methodist Hospital via a footbridge.

Arcadia High School students prepare for its final production at the Little Theatre, a production of "The Three Musketeers." It is located at 180 Campus Drive.
