A request from a group of parents that the play "Secrets", dealing with AIDS and birth control, be cancelled at Foothills Junior High has been unanimously denied by the Arcadia Board of Education. Sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and performed throughout the state, the play was requested by parents at the junior high level after it was shown last year at Arcadia High School.
A 47-page pamphlet on teen-age topics such as substance abuse, adolescent suicide and gangs was mailed last month to every Arcadia parent. "The Small Book of Big Issues for Arcadia Parents" was spearheaded by Foothills Middle School parent Carol Eifert.
Teachers and parents at Camino Grove and Holly Avenue elementary schools are in communication with the Arcadia Board of Education to restore the School Improvement Program.

A child care center will open September 15, 1975 at the Arcadia Presbyterian Church for all children. It is not geared toward working parents, but it is a special supplemental program to expand a child's experiences.
