The Parsons Corporation in Pasadena has reached an agreement in principle to acquire Engineering-Science Companies of Arcadia, a local business that specializes in environmental engineering.
Declining enrollment over the past few years has hurt the Arcadia school system financially, since income is based on attendance. The 1984-85 budget totals over $20 million. Last year the school district went $300,000 over budget.
