Bowen Du, 20, of Arcadia, was sentenced to 1 year in jail in the crosswalk death of Arcadia teen Alice Zhang. The incident occurred in April as Alice and her friend Priyanka Patel crossed the street at the 600 block of West Duarte Road in Arcadia.
Arcadia's Paramedic Membership Program continues to accept enrollments from both Arcadia residents and businesses. An 18-year-old male was stabbed to death at a strip mall in the 1300 block of S. Golden West Avenue in Arcadia. Juan Lorenzo, age 31, and Jose Antonio Cruz Ramirez, age 26, both of San Gabriel, were arrested and booked on murder charges. Both suspects work at Money Pot Shabu Shabu Restaurant.
