A White House Commission has selected 16 year old Arcadia resident Eugenia Kim as one of 500 finalists in the U. S. Presidential Scholar Program, "the nation's highest honor for high school students."
25-year old Colleen Kay Hutchins, who represented Utah in the Miss America contest, was named Miss America Saturday night. She is one of seven children of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Hutchins of Arcadia.
Miss Arcadia of 1963 is Vikki Lynn Davis. She will be on the Arcadia float in the Rose Parade on January 1, 1963. The Junior Chamber of Commerce conducted the contest. Two princesses were selected: Lauren Dahl and Diana Lynne Donnelly.
