The City Council will hear a report of the proposed Noise Level portion of the General Plan on Tuesday. A Noise Level Plan consists of a statement of community goals and the identification of local noise sources.
Defeated City Council candidate Roy Seirs urged newly elected Councilman Bob Margett to step down because of his behavior during the latter days of the campaign. This included tearing down other candidates signs and then telling lies about the incident.

The Arcadia Board of Education turned down a recommendation to shorten the last week of school at the high school. The recommendation was that for the last week, Monday would be a full day, while Tuesday through Thursday would be half days.

The dancing permit granted to the Westerner has been causing headaches. Residents adjacent to the restaurant have been complaining of noise and spillover parking. The City Council has extended the permit only until the next regular meeting on January 7, 1975.
A continuous left turn lane will be provided in the center of Duarte Road from Lovell Ave. to Baldwin Ave., and directional left turn lights will be installed at the Baldwin and Duarte intersection. This was passed by the Council, requested by the West Arcadia Business and Professional Association.
