Miguel Solorzano, 31, of El Monte and Constancio Lopez, Jr., 30, of El Monte, were accused of burglarizing an Arcadia home in the 5100 block of Marshburn Avenue during fumigation.

TV's Mario Lopez to host Lucky Baldwin Poker Tournament on June 10. It is a fundraiser to preserve the 1880s architecture of Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin's home at the site of Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden.
Arcadia High School Constitution Team wins state finals. The team will head to Washington DC for the National Finals in April. The team is comprised of 30 students, teacher and leader Megan Leahy, and several volunteer coaches, including Kevin Fox, Miriam Lopez, Mark Hong, Carl Nielsen, Bob Garrett, and City Councilman Gary Kovacic.
Arcadia Host Town Committee met with the Trinidad-Tobago Head of Delegation Candy Berman-Harper and Trinidad policeman and fireman Ferdinand Bibby. Arcadia is one host town for the upcoming Special Olympics, which run July 25-August 2. There will be 100 Special Olympians, coaches, and mentors from Trinidad-Tobago and Kyrgyz Republic staying in Arcadia and enjoying meals, programs, and tours around town. Local host cities ready for Special Olympics delegates. City of Arcadia will introduce its Trinidad and Tobago, and Kyrgyz Republic delegates at its free concert at the City Hall lawn this Thursday.
Arcadia High School Constitution Team is going to Washington DC to the National Finals of the "We the People" Citizen and Constitution Challenge. The team is 30 seniors from AP Government and Politics class. They won the state championship last month.
The second annual Arcadia Innovation Summit for Educators, on July 8, 2016 is free and will feature speaker George Couros, at Arcadia Performing Arts Center.
Santa Anita Park: think of human toll if track closes. Workers gather at rally to warn about how shutting down horse racing permanently over the twenty-nine horse deaths would impact thousands of employees. Reforms have been instituted at Santa Anita Park, including stricter rules for medications and more thorough examinations, but horse deaths are inevitable in horse racing. Rally calls for compassion for track employees too, whose livelihoods will be affected by a closure. They are an already vulnerable population.
