Unveiling of Anita May Baldwin statue brings peace and beauty. Anita May Baldwin was dedicated down the road from the statue of her father, Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin. The statue was unveiled yesterday at the official grand opening of the Le Meridien Hotel on Huntington Drive in Arcadia. The statue is called "A Legacy of Charity," made by artist Alfred Paredes.

Description of the newly formed Crime Impact Team, which consists of representtatives of 8 cities: Alhambra, Arcadia, El Monte, Monrovia, Monterey Park, San Gabriel and Temple City Station of LA County Sheriff's Dept. The Citrus Community College District encompasses Azusa, Bradbury, Claremont, Duarte, Glendora, Monrovia, and portions of San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Arcadia, Covina and Irwindale. The district enrolls more than 20,000 students.
Local schools ranked in annual financial report compiled by the office of the Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools. Areas included: teacher/pupil ratio; assessed valuation; text book costs; etc.
A statue to honor Anita M. Baldwin, daughter of Arcadia's founder Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin, will be built at the new Le Meridien Hotel, a luxury hotel in Arcadia. The artist/sculptor is Alfred Paredes, who also created the Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin statue.
Obituary/death notice. Arcadia Living's Executive Director Noemi Biely passes away after year-long battle with cancer. Arcadia Living is located at 601 Sunset Blvd, Arcadia, CA 91007. It is a senior assisted living community, previously known as Vista Cove at Arcadia, until November 2020.
