The Arcadia Public Library is now offering a new 24-hour, 2 days a week email reference service and a live interactive chat reference service called "Ask the Librarian."
The Reverand Roger Sonnenberg of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Arcadia led an Easter sunrise service Sunday at Wilderness Park. The outdoor service has been an annual tradition for more than 40 years.
Highland Oaks PTSA gives service awards and installs its Executive Board on May 28, 2003. Yoshiko Hayashi and Dick Grumm received "Very Special Friend" awards. Teacher Teresa Sarrail received the Honorary Service Award. Volunteers Cindy Forillo and Stephanie McNutt also received the Honorary Service Award. Lisa Lucas was installed for a second term as PTSA president.
Arcadia Police Department Chaplain Tom Shriver (shown in photo) and other chaplains sponsor a Law Enforcement Appreciation Service at the Church of the Transfiguration in Arcadia. The service was dedicated to fellow officers killed in the line of duty in 2002. None were from the Arcadia Police Department.
Arcadia working to remove graffiti problem by hiring Urban Graffiti Enterprises, Inc. to continue graffiti removal services, with a 3-year maintenance service agreement for $12,500.
The Arcadia Public Library is not responsible for children left alone at the library by their parents. The library is not a public babysitting service.
