The first move is an environmental impact report for the area bounded by the 210 Freeway on the north, the railroad tracks on the south, Fifth Avenue on the east and Second Avenue on the west.

City Council approved the zone change necessary to allow a seven-story, 150 room hotel to be built at 130 West Huntington Drive, the current site of the Ramada Inn.
Construction will begin in November on the $20 million hotel-office complex on the site of the Ramada Inn, according to John Kirkpatrick, the developer.
