A 13-year-old girl named Susan Wiley was reportedly a prisoner in her home for all of her life until a social worker discovered the child abuse. Susan's parents Clark Wiley and Irene Wiley were arrested. The family home is at 6722 Golden West Avenue, in a county area of Arcadia. Grace Clark has retired after more than 21 years with the Arcadia Public Library. She was City Librarian for a number of years and has been head of the Technical Services Department for the past 15 years.
MarrLin Greathouse, 17, of Arcadia High School, was crowned Miss Arcadia. She and her royal court will represent the city on the Arcadia float in the Pasadena Rose Parade on New Year's Day, 1980.
