An Arcadia family was terrorized and victimized at gunpoint in a home invasion robbery. The robbers choked the father of the family until he gave them cash and threatened to return to kill the family if they called police. The robbery occurred in the 100 block of West Forest Avenue. Richard Russo, 50, of Arcadia, surrendered to police after an all-night standoff at his home on Arbolada Drive. In the morning Carmen Russo was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds and Richard Russo was arrested. Two children ages 6 and 11 are staying with family.
At 1:53 PM on April 6, 2004, Arcadia Police Department officers descended on the Arcadia Public Library and arrested two men. One of the two men was seen passing a loaded gun to the other.
