Five Arcadia High School students face criminal charges after allegedly beating a 16-year old classmate, stripping her naked and taking photographs, then threatening to distribute the pictures if she told police. The alleged assault took place on January 24, 2005.

The United States Department of Justice and FBI are working with Hong Kong authorities to initiate the extradition of Deyun Shi.
Moises Davila, a 20-year-old resident of Arcadia, and a part-time employee of the Arcadia Recreation and Community Services Department, was arrested for lewd acts with a child under 14. The suspicious physical contact allegedly happened between him and a female juvenile who was attending Afterschool Recreation Program at Longley Way Elementary School in Arcadia.

41-year-old female Xiaolin Li, a resident of Arcadia, was stabbed and murdered on January 7, 2014 at an apartment in the 900 block of Arcadia Avenue. The arrested suspect was identified as the victim's father-in-law Li Zhu, a 68-year-old resident of Arcadia. The motive appears to be related to an on-going dispute within the family. The victim and suspect resided together.
