At least 10-12% of people infected with the virus end up hospitalized at some point, and more than 1% of people diagnosed with COVID-19 end up dying.

17-year-old Arcadia High School student Courtney Chou Lee has been named the 91st Rose Queen. Six other young ladies are princesses including another AHS student, Lauren Valenzuela. 20-year Arcadia Unified School District teacher Gary Southworth pleaded guilty to felony vehicular manslaughter and 2 counts of felony drunken driving in a crash that killed a 21-year-old La Verne woman on December 12, 1992.
A 21-year-old woman was the third person raped at gunpoint this year, and police suspect that they may be by the same person. All three women were accosted by an African American man in his 20's or 30's wearing a black cap. They were accosted in the early morning with a gun while alone in their cars.
23 Arcadia High School students capped third-place honors in the California State Finals of the National Bicentennial Competition.
