An application to construct a Burger King Restaurant on South Santa Anita Avenue at Alice Street was turned down by the Arcadia Planning Commission on a 4-1 vote. Arcadia Board of Education has announced an impasse in negotiations with teachers represented by Arcadia Teachers Association. Letter to that effect been sent to the Public Employment Relations Board with a request that a mediator be assigned.
