Arcadia Unified School District secures $5.7M in taxpayer savings by refinancing its current bonds to current low interest rates. The bonds are from Measure I, which was originally passed by Arcadia voters November 2006.
Arcadia High School pilots electronic student ID. The school's App Development Team began its pilot program for mobile student IDs utilizing Near Field Communication (NFC) scanners in the school library. It has the potential to streamline student identification processes throughout the school district.

Finalists picked for the 2023 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Royal Court. Field of 28 hopefuls for princess and Rose Queen will be trimmed on Monday. Among the finalists are a few from Arcadia High School--Navya Kannan, Sydney Yee, and Sahanna Rajinikanthan.

Arcadia High School Marching Band and Color Guard become first high school team to perform at the new SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, during a NFL Los Angeles Chargers halftime show. History of the band's performances include the first Super Bowl ever hosted in Los Angeles, the 2005 Presidential Inauguration Parade, and the Rose Parade.

Officials urge students to seek out new program that addresses mental health crisis in Los Angeles County schools. Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn urges students to take advantage of the county's School Threat Assessment Response Team (START) program, which helps assess and respond to potential school threats. The campaign's tagline, "If it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't" was developed through focus groups at Saugus and Arcadia High Schools. Arcadia High School senior Naomi Stillitano was named the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 2024 Rose Queen, the135th Rose Queen. The Royal Court (photo) will ride on a float in the 135th Rose Parade on January 1 and attend the 110th Rose Bowl Game.
L.A. COUNTY - 4 schools granted waivers to reopen - Classes are allowed for the youngest students at private campuses. Four private schools in Los Angeles County can start welcoming students in transitional kindergarten through the second grade back to campus.
The list, made public Wednesday, marks the first time area schools have been given the go-ahead to reopen for their youngest students under a waiver program the county approved late last month.
The schools that have been granted the waivers are Holy Angels School in Arcadia, Kadima Day School in West Hills, Los Encinos School in Encino and Rabbi Jacob Pressman Academy of Temple Beth Ann in Los Angeles.
The county is only granting up to 30 waivers per week, with priority given to schools that serve more low-income students. The waivers are to be distributed equally between the five districts in the county.
Muir High School and Pasadena High School will play all home games at iconic Rose Bowl. Arcadia High School and Pasadena High School will play April 1, 2021.
