48th Annual Arcadia Festival of Bands will be held Saturday, November 17. The event, which showcases the finest high school instrumental music talent in Southern California, has been a proud tradition in Arcadia since 1953. Dennis Davies, who recently retired after serving 39 years as a music director in Arcadia Unified School District, has been named Grand Marshal.
The 70th annual Arcadia Festival of Bands set for Saturday, November 18. Ambassador Jason C. Yuen, director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, will be grand marshal of the 49th Festival of Bands Parade in Arcadia.
The Apache marching band will participate in the annual Festival of Bands. Dallas Massey, Apache Tribal Chairman for the White Mountain Apaches, will be the Grand Marshal of the parade.
Fifty marching bands, drill teams, color guards and auxiliary units will take part in the 49th annual Festival of Bands hosted by the Arcadia High School Apache Marching Band. The competition will be on Saturday, November 16th.
Street closures for the 59th Annual Festival of Bands Parade hosted by City of Arcadia. Baldwin Avenue between Huntington Drive and Naomi Avenue will be closed 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Duarte Road between Golden West and El Monte Avenue closed 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Campus Drive between Santa Anita Avenue and Holly Avenue closed 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
