Arcadia Rotary Club's second annual "Field of Honor" to display 1000 U.S. flags at Arcadia County Park to honor patriotism and those who have served our country and/or are special in our lives. Flags are $50.
Arcadia Vietnam War Monument placed in Arcadia County Park. It is 22,000 pounds. From 1966-1972, 14 U.S. servicemen from Arcadia became casualties of the war in Vietnam. Downtown Arcadia hosts Patriotic Festival in honor of America's 243rd birthday. It takes place June 29, 5:00-9:30 PM on First Avenue, south of Huntington Drive, with live music, food, entertainment, and fireworks.

Inaugural Winterfest in Arcadia debuts November 23. It’ll be a veritable winter wonderland at Santa Anita Park race track’s infield, with ice skating, a Christmas tree lot, Santa’s Village, carolers, pony rides, 80 pop-up vendors, seasonal foods and more.
Officials offer words of condolence for Monterey Park shooting victims. As Monterey Park grieves lives of 11 victims of a mass shooter who shot people at Star Dance Studio on Saturday, January 21, the Lunar New Year eve (Chinese New Year eve), President Joe Biden, Governor Gavin Newsom, and local officials such as Arcadia Mayor Paul Cheng, Rosemead Mayor Sean Dang, Duarte City officials, Los Angeles City Council, among others, offered condolences.
