Feeling that career counseling should start early, Foothills Junior High has started a program of extensive exposure to many different careers. Involved were many parents, who shared their backgrounds.
A flag identifying Foothills Junior High as a distinguished secondary school for 1987-88 is now in place below Old Glory on the flagpole in front of the school.
Last year, Foothills Junior High students raised $800 for the Peace Corps to go to Lamotrek Atoll, Micronesia, an island in the South Pacific. The Peace Corps Partnership Program allows American schools, clubs and organizations to fund small projects, typically less than $1500. The money will be used to construct a basketball court.
