Arcadia High School teacher Thomas Payne is lending his full support to the California Youth Theater. It is the goal of this group to create an educated audience for theater in California.

Groundbreaking ceremonies were scheduled this morning at 135 Colorado Place, where construction of a new first-run theater was set to begin next week. This comes one week after a disastrous fire which gutted the Arcadia Theatre.

This summer marks the 10th season of the Arcadia Repertory Theater. The two plays offered this year are "Once in a Lifetime" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."
