View across parking lot toward Topper's Drive-In, which opened in December of 1941. It was located on NW corner of Baldwin and Huntington Drive and was owned by C.A. Price (according to info in Rancho Santa Anita Scrapbook #5, p.45). Around sides of building are signs reading: Sandwiches, Fountain dinners and Dining Room.
Home of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bertolina. It was originally located on California (a street which at this time was 3 blocks south of Duarte Road). It washed off its foundation and was then moved to NW corner of 2nd and Alta. There are broad front steps and stone foundation seen in photo.
Arcadia Community Church located at this time on NE corner of Huntington Drive and Santa Anita Avenue, later moved to NE corner of First Avenue and Alice Street and became Arcadia Presbyterian Church.

Aerial view looking south over Santa Anita Race Track on a day of very heavy attendance. The floral plantings which form designs in the in-field are shown clearly. Also seen are: the clubhouse, the stables, and the training track. These latter were either moved or done away with to make way for the Fashion Park. Many people are seen waiting in line to buy fresh corn at road-side stand called Carl's Sweet Corn and owned by Carl Kophamer at 75 Las Tunas. (NW corner of Las Tunas and Santa Anita Ave.) Corn is seen growing in large field behind the stand.
