House was first house on NE corner of First and LaPorte Street and had front door on First Avenue. Mr. Kreutzkamp was station agent at Arcadia Santa Fe Station from 1909-1915.

Monroe House -- This is the home (known as The Oaks) of William Newton Monroe, a Los Angeles Councilman, who in 1886 bought 60 acres as a townsite and laid out the town of Monrovia, which was incorporated in 1887. It was located on Primrose Avenue.

"Ye Fairy of Ye Oak," 1915 Pasadena Tournament of Roses float entered by Mrs. Anita Baldwin McClaughry. Dextra McClaughry (age 13) and Baldwin McClaughry (age 10), children of Anita, rode on the float. Dextra, the Queen of Fairyland, stood beneath a spreading oak while the floor of the carriage was converted into a meadowland of softest green upon which shell pink roses, lilies-of-the-valley and hyacinths grew.
