Last week the Pomona Lawn Bowling Club welcomed the Santa Anita Bowling Green Club for a rare visitation match. Pomona's club is seeking more members to play this fun outdoor sport.

Bowling icon Jackie Henney, 93, continues to roll with favorite hobby. For more than 60 years, long-time Arcadia resident Henney has bowled, taught and organized leagues in San Gabriel Valley. After the County spent $410,000 over two years to renovate three of the four bowling greens at Santa Anita Lawn Bowling Club, some members are angry that the greens won't be playable for as long as two more years.
