In the distance can be seen a railroad crossing marker which was for the Santa Fe Line (which is now serviced with an overpass of Huntington Dr.). John McCoy (who was station agent at Arcadia Santa Fe Station) pictured on bicycle with device for riding it along rail of railroad so he could inspect rails. His young son George is pictured beside him on a tricycle. Locomotive is on tracks.

Cast of moving picture, THE HEART OF A RACE TOUT, the first moving picture made ENTIRELY in California. It was made by Selig Polyscope Co.of Chicago who had opened a studio in downtown Los Angeles. The movie was made to take advantage of the Racetrack built in Arcadia by E.J."Lucky" Baldwin which opened in 1907.
Photo of Jerry Lee Broadwell, the first Arcadia Fire fighter killed in the line of duty. This photo is mounted on a board and was framed as a memorial. It hung in the Children's Room until it was removed in March 1996 to be replaced by a new photo. Jerry is in uniform and is seen chest up looking directly at the camera.
