There is no print of this negative. The negative is a Baldwin tract map for the Santa Anita Colony. The 800 acres of Santa Anita Colony were bounded by today's Duarte Road on the north, Live Oak Avenue on the south, El Monte Avenue on the west and Second Avenue on the east.
View west, probably from a point about 1/4 mile west of Rosemead, on what is presently Huntington Drive. Street is dirt. There are railroad tracks along the right belonging to San Gabriel Railroad. There is a row of white power poles along side of tracks.
Groundbreaking ceremonies for the remodel/expansion project at Arcadia Public Library, 20 W. Duarte Road. Mayor Dennis Lojeski is addressing the audience.
