Winners of the Bicycle Rodeo, an event sponsored by Arcadia Police Department and Arcadia Recreation Department, from left to right: Albert Schneider (winner boys 8-14 year old group), Bruce Frazier (winner boys 8 and under), Juanita Curti (winner girls 14 and under), Betsy Bosil (winner girls 8 and under). Pictured behind the children left to right are Police Chief William Orr and Patrolman William Goodman. The Bicycle Rodeo was a contest in bicycle safety and riding skill. Winners received nighttime riding lights and electric horns. The awards were the culmination of bicycle safety instruction offered at Arcadia playgrounds throughout the summer by William Goodman. O.D. Harris home on NE corner, 15 E. Orange Avenue (later street name changed to 15 Colorado Blvd). It is listed in 1928 City Directory as on Orange Avenue address. House was demolished about 1960*. Twenty people standing and sitting in front of house, gathered for a McCoy family reunion.[*The house stood until 1962 according to description of photo ID 1029. Noted 7/25/2011.]

Apparently this was taken at the time Harrah's in Reno, Nevada auctioned off items that formerly had been in Arcadia at Pony Express Museum and had been sold to Harrah's some years earlier.
Three children stand on lawn in front of white clapboard house rented by William Kreutzkamp family. The children are, L-R: William Kreutzkamp, Jr.; Laura Kreutzkamp; and Charles Kreutzkamp. House was first house on NE corner of First and LaPorte Street and had front door on First Avenue. Mr. Kreutzkamp was station agent at Arcadia Santa Fe Station from 1909-1915.
View of front entry to what has been called the O.D. Harris house at 15 E. Orange Avenue (now, Colorado Boulevard). Title Insurance & Trust checked the heritage for us and found the building probably was built in late 1880's for Southern California Floral Farm & Perfumery Co. Building stood until 1962. As of 1980, an apartment building was on that location.
