Original name of the light rail was the Gold Line. Later, Gold Line was temporarily renamed L-Line and officially renamed A-Line aka Blue Line effective June 16, 2023.

"Once the environmental process is completed in 2012, the project will be ready for funding at the local and federal levels. Metro has made funding the Foothill Extension from Azusa to Montclair a priority project for the agency.

15. Westfield Santa Anita mall sells for $537.5 million. The mall is part of French-based Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield's (URW) continued unloading of assets in the United States. The deal is the largest for a mall in the U.S. since 2018. The property at 400 South Baldwin Avenue, now known as The Shops at Santa Anita is 1.48 million square feet and nearly 100% leased. URW acquired the Santa Anita mall in 2018 as part of its $15.7 billion acquisition of Australia-based Westfield, which had owned and operated the mall since 2007.
