"Adventures in Paradise," Arcadia's float entry in the 1971 Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, featured a banana split. A framed copy of this removed from wall outside Admin. office and currently stored in map case in basement, as of February 2017.

The church property goes all the way to Colorado Place (including "The Village Apartments," formerly the Frontier Motel, which the church purchased in 1972) and includes the parking lot and the building at the top of the photo, the Margaret Stevens Center. Almost square building standing under tall Eucalyptus trees with sign across front reading: ARCADIA INN,WM. JOHNSON PROPRIETOR. According to information given to Sandy Snider at the Arboretum in a telephone interview with Vesta Reeves, this was known as Johnson's Inn and was on the SE corner of Santa Anita Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.

Per Teri Weeks, a long-time church member, this church building was torn down in 1961 and new sanctuary was built in 1962, so this photo was probably 1950s.
