About 40 Arcadia High School students showed up outside City Hall at 3:15 to demonstrate against the city's 50 year old curfew, which subjects those under 18 to a misdemeanor citation if they loiter in public after 10 PM.

A group of eight intends to roller skate from Arcadia to Las Vegas and back again, a trip which should set a speed and endurance record and earn a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. A shooting occurred at the corner of First Avenue and Fano Street, a block from the Santa Anita County Golf Course, at about 10:20 pm Saturday, June 24, 2006. A boy, whose name was withheld, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
