The Citrus Community College District encompasses Azusa, Bradbury, Claremont, Duarte, Glendora, Monrovia, and portions of San Dimas, La Verne, Pomona, Arcadia, Covina and Irwindale. The district enrolls more than 20,000 students.

La Verne's mayor Tim Hepburn to lead as President of San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments. The other newly elected leadership includes: Claremont Mayor Ed Reese, first VP, Arcadia Mayor Pro Tem April Verlato, second VP, and City of Industry Mayor Cory Moss, third VP.

District 27: Judy Chu (D) vs. Johnny Nalbandian (R)
The District: District 27 encompasses parts of L.A. and San Bernardino counties including Pasadena, Arcadia, Rosemead, Glendora, and Claremont. Home to approximately 709,231 people, this district has been represented by Judy Chu (D-Monterey Park) since 2013. Most residents of District 27 are Asian (37.94%), White (29.22%), or Hispanic (26.88%).

City of Arcadia, in partnership with Chinatown Service Center, will be providing free COVID-19 vaccinations, booster shots and flu shots on December 13 and December 15 at Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Dr.
Arcadia police report military equipment use, seek drone in the 2024-2025 budget. Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles, are instrumental in enhancing response times to calls, aiding in the investigation of criminal activities, and providing aerial perspectives that can assist in protecting life and property, the report states.

Arcadia's historic Derby Restaurant may be relocated. A mixed-use project may take the place of The Derby and Embassy Suites at 211 East Huntington Drive - 233 East Huntington Drive. Local historian Sandy Snider expressed concern that the 99 year-old building may end up being razed. George Woolf bought the Derby in 1938, originally named Proctor Tavern when it operated in 1922. Arcadia Assemblyman Ed Chau appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom as Los Angeles County Superior Court judge, with biographical information. Chau was elected to represent the 49th Assembly District in November 2012, which includes Arcadia. He was in private practice for nearly 20 years before his election and served on Montebello Unified School District Board. His law degree is from Southwestern University.
